Situé à l'avenue de Rumine No 20, l'hôtel Alexandra fut inauguré le 17 juin 1909 et cessa son activité définitivement le 31 janvier 1975, avant d'être démoli en 1976. Son propriétaire, M. Charles Butticaz, avait transformé l'ancien hôtel-pension Victoria en 1908 et lui avait donné le nom d'Alexandra en hommage à la reine d'Angleterre, épouse du roi Edouard VII. Un immeuble administratif fut édifié à la place.
